Dear Visitor, We would love to return this site to it's original state, with smiling faces and a host of upcoming events for christian service however, those who have read the article in the  Daily News Record on July 23rd understand to do that could be very misleading as there are still unresolved issues.

NOTE:For those of you who have not read this disturbing article, please do so before making any commitment.  You can obtain a copy of this article by going to www.dnronline.com into the archives section and request a copy of the Daily News-Record (Harrisonburg, VA) July 23, 2010 article titled Turmoil Grips City Church Congregation Divided Over Pastor's Murder Conviction by Author: PETE DeLEA, Daily News-Record and a follow-up article from August 19th- City Church Trespassing Case Tossed- Pastor, Trustees Battling For Control By Pete DeLea Posted August 19, 2010 12:00 AM

As we have said before, there are serious issues to be resolved and as we would not want to mislead anyone, we continue to ask for your prayers in hopes those issues at hand will be resolved soon and those who have been barred from worship will be able to return.

Remember, satan continues to prey upon the weak and those who are babes in the Word.  As he often does, he uses one with a smooth tongue to deceive, so be on guard!  Don't let smooth words and stuborn pride win your heart away from what the Word of God says.

We urgue each one of you to trust the Lord and His word; but question man and his motives.  Compare what you hear with what you see and more importantly, what the Word of God says.  Does the tree produce good or bad fruit?  If there is sin, is there fruit of repentence?  To examine such is not to pass judgement, but to be prudent concerning God's word and so not to be deceived by one of Satan's old but very clever tricks.  For we are warned in God word - 2 Timothy 4:3-4  -  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

That is what could be said of what's happening in this church today.  In addition to many falsehoods, there have been attempts to silence this website in telling this truth.  Let it be clear, this site is for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ so to prevent souls from being lost.

We will tell you the truth.  It will be up to you to decide what you do with that information.  Don't be afraid to ask question; Don't be afraid to take a stand for Christ.

Today's Reading is from Psalm 18:1-3 (New International Version)

Psalm 18

For the director of music. Of David the servant of the LORD. He sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said:
 1 I love you, O LORD, my strength.

 2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
       my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
       He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

 3 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
       and I am saved from my enemies.
