We strive to adhear to sound Biblical teachings by following New Testament doctrine.  We are Christians Only and adhere to the following Biblical principles:

Acceptance of New Testament Authority- Our Authority is Jesus

God said “"This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to him!" Matthew 17:5 and Mark 9:7 Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, "This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!" .

Matthew 28:18-19.  And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. (19) " Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Salvation according to the New Testament- We believe as expessed in I Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

The Bible affirms the following plan to obtain salvation.

  • HEAR THE WORD-  Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

  • FAITH- "But without faith, it is impossible to please Him" Hebrews 11:6 and  John 3:35-36 "The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."  and Romans 10:11 "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."   John 20: 31  but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

  • REPENTANCE- Jesus said in Luke 13:3 and Luke 13:5 "Except you repent, you shall all likewise perish."

  • CONFESSION- Matthew 10:32 "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven." and Romans 10:9-10    "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
    (10) for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

  • BE IMMERSED INTO CHRIST THROUGH WATER BAPTISM-  John 3:5  Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  Mark 16:16 " He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned." and Acts 2:38  "Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

  • REMAIN FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH- Revelation 2:10 Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Hebrews 3:14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end."             I Corinthians 15:1-2  Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand,by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.  I Corinthians 15:58  "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord."

Preaching and Teaching the Whole Counsel of God- Galatians1:8-10 "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!  (9) As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! (10) For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? Colossians 1:25 Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,  2 Timothy 4:1-2  I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom (2) preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

Living a New Testament Life- Acts 2:42  They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Revelation 2:10   Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 1 Timothy 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.  Hebrews 10:24 -25 "and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, (25) not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Observing the Lord's Supper According to the New Testament-  Luke 24:30  When He had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them.  John 6:54  "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.   Acts 2:42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  I Corinthians 11:28  "But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup."

Holding Fast to New Testament Stewardship - I Corinthians 16:2  On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.

Wearing a New Testament Name- Acts 11:26 and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. Romans 16:16  Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet youRevelation 21:9  Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."
